WELCOME TO THE FALL EDITION
OF THE HIGH SCHOOL TOOL KIT

This “tool kit” is specifically designed to help educate teens about their responsibilities while behind the wheel. This is the first of three tool kit installments during the 2007-2008 school year. The fall-edition kit focuses on back-to-school teen driving issues, including distracted driving and seat belt use. It includes:

  • Three Articles – for use in student newspapers or parent newsletters, on Web sites, in bulletins, etc.
  • Teen-Driver Fact Sheet – for students to use to help develop their own newspaper story
  • Four Voiceover Scripts – to be read as school announcements at special events or as PA announcements before class
  • Two Radio Public Service Announcements – that can be broadcast over school news broadcast channels where available (wave files can be downloaded from the tool kit main page)
  • Two Print Ads – to be dropped in as needed for parent or student publications
  • Three Web Site Banners – for use on your school or district Web site (two horizontals – one static, one animated; one vertical)

Thank you for working with us to save more young lives.

Production-quality Web banner ads and printed posters may be requested directly from CDOT by contacting Heather Halpape, PR Manager for Safety Programs, heather.halpape@dot.state.co.us , 303.757.9484.
